Cultural Regionalization Research On Construction Techniques Of Korean Traditionnal Dwellings In Northeast China

The dwellings of the Korean nationality in China is mainly concentrated in Northeast China.Fortunately,its original tradition,nationality and identity have been protected during the long process of human history,while its construction technology has been distinctive and unique in the region.Furthermore,it has become a kind of traditional residential culture with diversified forms and abundant types because of the special geographical environment and the influence from external culture.Although the research on the traditional folk houses in northeast China is still in the static description stage,In this paper,based on the research results of cultural geography,the author starts from the two dimensions of time and space,through the cross application of architecture and cultural geography,makes a statistical analysis and summary of various attributes,and thus makes a deeper exploration on the construction technology of traditional Korean houses in northeast China in terms of the spatial distribution law.Further,the paper can interpret the architectural characteristics of Korean dwellings in the region and provide basic data for future protection research.Part one : Build cultural geographical database,the author across the northeast three provinces of northeast Korean ghettos local-style dwelling houses building construction technology in surveying and mapping and questionnaire survey,field investigation,take pictures,finally choose the 237 national outstanding village as the research sample,extract the residential construction technology,material,form and other related data,to complete the northeast Korean traditional local-style dwelling houses building technology culture and geographical database construction;Based on the cultural geography database,the cultural geography atlas is drawn by using ArcGis platform for vectorization calculation.Part two: Division of cultural areas,analysis of cultural landscape characteristics Firstly,the cultural geography atlas clearly reflects the spatial distribution and difference of the cultural landscape of Korean traditional residence.Secondly,according to the cultural landscape characteristics of the dwellings in different regions and the principle of consistency,the cultural areas of the traditional Korean houses are divided into seven small regions by combining the dominant factors and auxiliary factors and by applying means of overlapping method and dominant factor method.Finally,those villages with distinctive features of each cultural district are chosen as the representative to expound their main construction features.Part three: The focus of the paper is to reveal the evolution mechanism of theKorean dwellings in northeast China,to discusses the intrinsic motivation behind the phenomenon of the regional planning rules from the perspective of cultural geography and to analyze its forming factors through the combination of cultural geography and traditional dwellings and the analysis of spatial distribution and historical evolution of cultural factors by ArcGis.Most importantly,the paper makes up for the single static description study of the traditional folk houses in northeast China and enriches its research results.
