Study On Construction Of The Hidden Space In The Dwellings In Shanxi

Shanxi’s traditional dwellings as an important part of its architectural forms, existing with its local characteristics and compelling, especially in the building layout, spatial composition, construction techniques, decorative arts and other aspects.Composition is the process of architecture space and creating an important part of the design.It is dividing into the various of functional space, accordde inner space and outer space. This paper discusses one particular class of inner space ing to the people’s production and living needs.The space inclu- the hidden space.Hidden space as one of a building space in a class of interior space in the residential buildings, is different from the main using space, it is particularity. Unlike other architectural space,it has not obvious effect in daily life, but in a certain environment, its role and significance is so important. However, this type of space is hide and it is often overlooked. The academic community did not cause enough attention to the hidden space.Taking Shanxi dwellings as the main object, the paper selects typical representative architectural which have the hidden space to research.The paper sorts of architectural space based on many research and a lot of information on the theory, to summarize the design concept and building technology in such space.That can provide some ideas and information for the further study in the hidden space and other space.This paper is divided into seven chapters which can be expanded from four-part discussion:Part one contains chapter one and two.This chapter introduces the object of study and makes a basic background of exposition about the classification of hidden space in Shanxi dwellings. This part makes the groundwork to discuss the following chapters.Part two includes chapter three and fore. In the first part of the paper, the hidden space is divided to the defensive-based and the storage-based according to different functions. These chapters will create respectively analyze design and technology of both types of architectural space according the cases in Shanxi. Detailed study of each instance, seeks summary construction feature in thses space.Part three contains chapter fifth. Through two chapters’ analysis, summarizing construction features in hidden space and the key problem of induction process of building, then summaring the special construction method in hidden space.Chapter six and seven are the part four. Analyzing the value of hidden space in Shanxi dwellings, and proposing the protection recommendations for the problems faced by existing. In the end of the paper summarizes,it is mentioned the hidden space the effect in a modern ecological buildings.
