With the rapid development of construction technology and materials, the construction methods of modern buildings are changing with each passing day,and the facilities in buildings are also changing with the development of related materials, structures and technologies.Traditional dwellings are built on the basis of agricultural production mode and gradually accumulated through continuous "trial and error, improvement".They are practical, efficient and easy to maintain buildings built with simple and practical construction technology and local natural climate and cultural customs under the condition of limited material wealth and resources. The traditional residential facilities for climate adaptation and regulation is the essence, and it is also a part worthy of learning and reference in modern architectural design. This paper analyzes, explains and refines the construction form and internal construction logic of facilities in traditional dwellings in Jiangsu and Zhejiang, and reveals its deep scientific connotation by modern research methods.Based on the climate adaptability characteristics of typical traditional residential building envelope in Jiangsu and Zhejiang, this paper carries out a systematic theoretical research, focusing on the thermal performance of external wall and roof, the depth of roof cornice, the influence of roof construction form on drainage and ventilation, and the influence of doors and windows on indoor ventilation and lighting, comprehensively and deeply excavates the structure with facility function in traditional residential building, and expounds its characteristics This paper discusses the internal mechanism of climate adaptability and raises it to the theoretical level of the system.
