The Gaogesitai Hanwula National Nature Reserve is the centre of the HAN Mountain. It's beside the HAN Mountain Tree Farm and the species of animals and plants are abundant and with little influence by people. So the value of the plant resources and the research on the ecology in this area is very high. But the research about this area is still empty. So it's necessary to make a systematic research in this area. The the result of the resrarch will provide the provide the scientific gist for the protection of ecology. The Gaogesitai Hanwula National Nature Reserve were studied roundly and systematically by the author in this paper and the bryophytes on it were also collected and identified to analysis the character of the bryophytes' diversity and floristic elements. The main conclusions as follows:(1) 38 families, 80 genera and 147 species of bryophytes(including varieties) were discovered in the Gaogesitai Hanwula National Nature Reserve. 11 famyly, 11 genera, 15 species of liverworts and 27 famyly, 69 genera, 132 species of mosses(including varieties) were among them. The total of families, genera and species of bryophyte in this area respective occupied 60.32%, 43.48% and 28.77% of the total number of bryophytes in Inner Mongolia. The dominant families were Pottiaceae, Bryaceae, Hypnaceae, Amblystegiaceae and Erachytheciaceae with a number of 79 species, occupied 54.11% of the total number of this area. The dominant genera were Bryum, Campylium and Didymodon, with a number of 21 species, occupied 14.38% of the total number of this area. 1 new record genera of Inner Mongolia and 9 new record species of Inner Mongolia were found in the research area. The Inner Mongolia new record genera is Kurzia. and the Inner Mongolia new record species are Plagiochila duthiana Steph.,Kurzia sinensis G. C. Zhang, Trichostomum tenuirostre(Hook. et. Tay1.)Lindb., Trichostomum brachydontium Bruch in F. A. Müll., Anoectangium euchloron(Schwaegr.)Mitt.,Funaria japonica Broth. Hedwigia, Tayloria serrata(Hedw.) Bruch & Schimp., Climacium japonicum Lindb. and Pylaisia cristata Cardot?(2) The bryophytes in the research area belongs 7 kinds of floristic geographical elements types, including Cosmopolitan, North Temperate elements, East Asian elements, Medit Western Asia to Central Asia, Central Asia, Asian and North American elements and Endemic to China. Among these, the North Temperate elements species are the main element with the number of 72 and with 48.98% of the total species number. Floristic composition shows an obvious character of East Asia.Compared with the other 7 mountains' bryophytes in dominant families, similarity, fioristic spectrum and DCA, the relationship of the bryophytes belong to the 8 mountains was found. According to the result, the relationship between the research area and the Changbai Mountain and the North of the Da Xing'an Mountain were closer than the other 5 mountains and the Xi Tianmu Mountain is the farthest, and the result is made by the climate.(3) The ? diversity index of the bryophytes under the birch woods is the highest and the bryophytes in the bosk is lowest. The similarity of the bryophytes in different habitats is lower and which indicated that the diversity of species has something with the diversity of their habitats.(4) There are two Chinese endangered bryophytes in Gaogesitai Hanwula National Nature Reserve and they are Kurzia sinensis G. C. Zhang and Encalypta buxbaumioidea Cao. Gao et Bai. And the endangered grade are Cirtically Endangered and Endangered. And the author think that to protect them, we should protect their habitats first.
