The Study On The Development Strategy Of LY Company

With the sustained and rapid development of China’s economic, the social demand for water resources also shows explosive growth.According to the data of China statistical yearbook, in 2010 China’s ten thousand Yuan GDP consumes 150 cubic meters water. As China’s GDP already the second largest of the world and per capita GDP surpass 5000 US dollars, the water consumption of the whole society also reached an unprecedented level.In recent years, China continued to adjust economic structure, change the mode of economic development, and strive to build an environment friendly and resource saving society.The State Council issued the energy-saving and emission reduction work plan and environmental protection industry development plan during the "Twelfth Five-Year Plan". In this context, the water treatment industry has been developed rapidly. According to incomplete statistics, the amount of the domestic water treatment industry relevant enterprises is nearly 4000, and the most of them are small and medium-sized enterprises.This thesis studies on one of the small water treatment enterprises called LY Company. According to the strategy management theory, research works were conducted on the internal and external environment of enterprises by using PEST analysis, value chain, five forces model tools to analyze the opportunities, threats, advantages and disadvantages of the enterprise. And then by using the SWOT matrix tool, the basic competition strategy and strategic objectives of the enterprise were found through strategic choice. Finally, enterprise strategy implementation and control measures from enterprise financial level, the customer level, the internal level, and learning and growth level were performed in this thesis to make sure the realization of enterprise strategy.Hope this thesis can make a little contribution to LY Company’s future development, and also can provide reference of small and medium-sized water treatment enterprise’s development strategy.
