According to "Three Centralization and Five Large-scale"system construction of the State Grid, the former working systems in prefecture-level power supply companies need to be adjusted. As the core business process of customer service, the process reengineering of business expanding is one of the keys in new mode transition. The processes of customers business expanding are now involved in the various departments and power producers, and any delay in these processes may result that customers can’t receive electricity on time and even in loss. Therefore, it is in great need of establishing smooth coordination mechanisms within and outside power supply companies, straightening out and optimizing internal business process and forming service system suitable to the requirements of market competition.With the theory of form modern business management BPR(Business Process Reengineering) and the process evaluation method of ASME (American Society of Mechanical Engineers), business expanding core processes of current 10 kV and 35kV in Ningbo Power Supply Company of the State Grid are analyzed in detail. Based on the detail analysis results of current business expanding management, the problems and disadvantages are classified one by one and the solutions which correspond are discovered. The solutions of business expanding process management involve process optimization and poly specialty coordination.Based on business expanding process reengineering and optimizing programs, the implementation strategies and plans are made. Clear improvement procedures and proposals are drew up, finally the effects of the project are summarized, analyzed and evaluated step by step. With the research results of business expanding optimization, the requirements about process optimization, procedures simplification, time quantity, coordination enhancement are achieved. A new lean management mode of business expanding of the company are established with an integrated "external" process service, process simplification, intelligent interaction, efficient coordination and full monitor.This study helps Ningbo Power Supply Company to carry out business process reengineering in business expanding and to gain more energy and competitiveness relative to its competitors. The research results will be important information for the current/future development of Ningbo Power Supply Company and also will provide an example for other power grid enterprises on BPR in their business expanding.
