| As the key part of value-added chain, production operation is to provide qualified product with the suitable price within the due date according to customers’requirements. Production strategy is the functional strategy which supports the realization of enterprise strategy. Production ability is the internal core ability of the enterprise, which defines the competitiveness of the enterprise on the market. A right and suitable production strategy can keep the efficiency and flexibility of production department if it can be implemented effectively. And consequently, the requirements from the market can be satisfied and thus the enterprise strategy can be realized as well. Taking TIMELESS Co. as an object, the paper analyzes the establishment of production strategy of TIMELESS Co. from the perspective of global competition. By theoretical analysis and simulative practice of the complete process of production strategy in terms of environment analysis, development, implementation and evaluation of production strategy, the paper draws a conclusion and provides the strategic guidance to production operation in real life.The paper is composed of six chapters. First of all, the paper introduces the background and meanings of the paper, and gives a brief introduction of the object of the paper—TIMELESS Co. Afterwards, the paper enters into the part of theory, which includes the definition of production strategy, the influencing factors and procedures to develop the production strategy, and the steps to implement the production strategy. From the third chapter on, the paper starts the practical study on production strategy based on TIMELESS Co. as a simulative platform. In chapter three, the paper deduces the SWOT matrix of TIMELESS Co. by analysis of the macroscopic environment, industrial environment and internal environment. And then the production targets of TIMELESS Co. from2012to2015is defined in Chapter four according to SWOT matrix and the production strategy is defined as well. Based on the production strategy, the ways to assure a well implementation of production strategy are developed in terms of capacity, cost, inventory and quality. Chapter five focuses on the implementation of production strategy of TIMELESS Co. from2013to2015and evaluates the results of implementation afterwards. Besides, the control measures are defined to avoid any risks during implementation of production strategy. At last, the paper states the experiences of the author by participation of Management Game, the findings and weaknesses of Management Game for which the author put forwards her advices and suggestions to optimize the system. |
