Research On The Operations Management Of Huntsman Company’s Financial Shared Services Center

As an advanced financial management model, Financial Shared Services model is on the rise and promotion in many MNCs and domestic large group company. The aim of Financial Shared Services Center(or FSSC, for short) is to solve the repeated investment and the disadvantages of low efficiency in the construction of large-scale group company’s finance function through an effective operating model. Financial Shared Services provided high efficiency and high value-added financial services, and corresponding financial information to support management decision making for enterprises, at the same time, it also emerged various kinds of problems in the process of operations management.The FSSC of Huntsman company had been built for 10 years, has entered into the normal operations and perfect stage, the operation process is comparatively mature in many ways. However, due to the changing external environment and financial requirements, the rules and operations of some details in operation process still have drawbacks. At this stage, the business processes and their supporting information systems as cores of the company’s FSSC operation process, runs through the process. Given this, this article will try to carry out exploratory research on the issues of these two aspects.Based on the introduction of characteristics and functions, development and application situation, operation mode, scope of application, business processes and information systems of FSSC, in combination with the practical situation of Huntsman company, this article, first of all, have a detailed description and analysis on the present situation of operation management of the FFSC’s business processes and business processes, then through the feedback result of questionnaire on operational management, analyze the existing problems and the corresponding reasons of the business processes and information systems,. After that, this article put forward the targeted detailed optimization scheme to regulate the business processes and increase the efficiency of the information systems, striving to improve the operations management situation. In the end, this article put forward safeguard measures for optimizing design of operation management and the conclusion.
