With the deepening of the market economy and increasing competition amongenterprises, enterprises are now facing increasing challenges. To be able to respondquickly to customer needs and market changes, continuously improve thecomprehensive strength of enterprises, and to survive and develop in thecompetition, companies hope to draw support from modern science and technology,introduce advanced management concepts, along with integrating and sharing thelimited resources within the enterprise, so as to change the backward mode ofoperation and management to achieve competitive advantage and thus to achievebusiness goals. Today’s manufacturing industry is facing rising pressure from rawmaterial prices and labor cost, resulting in corresponding rise in production costs.To ensure that corporate profits are not affected, and enhance marketcompetitiveness, we must operate on the production system to improve and enhancetheir productivity. Under this situation the paper will finds out the success and theinadequacies of implementation of company through researching the process andevaluating the effects, to provide reference for the future businesses.Through the collection, collation of information and data, the research firstanalysed and diagnosed the operational management, and then put forward directionfor the initial improvement. Then set the goal for improving project performance,apply the use of AHP to determine the priority of projects, and the use of "problemsolving approach" to improve the issues raised and to evaluate the effect ofimprovement. In the course of the project, company is still using the management oftraditional mass production, resulting in a large number of stocks and a longerdelivery time. It has been unable to meet current market demand for many varietiesbut small quantities. In view of this situation, to improve the process, the authorsused a variety of industrial engineering methods to improve the existing system, themethod used including: production line balancing techniques, quick die technology,and pull production system and so on. This paper analysed the practical applicationsof these technologies in company, the status and condition of these industrialengineering knowledge and theory in the actual manufacturing, and transformedthem into concrete measures and actions to assist company to increase itsproduction efficiency.After1year, efficiency improvement project achieved the desired effect,Panasonic ’s productivity increased by about20%, and the resulting savings in laboris4.69million yuan per year. The study results show that applying appropriateindustrial engineering technology according to the the actual situation for enterprises can improve productivity. The findings of this article hope to providereference for similar improvements in activities of manufacturing companies.
