With the increasingly fierce competition in the automotive market as well as thedevelopment of scientific decision-making, competitive intelligence has graduallybecome the fourth element after following the capital, technology, human resources,corporate survival and development. Standing on the forefront of the automotiveindustry information service, this article fully review and summarize strategicmanagement theory, industrial organization theory and industrial economic theory,proposed the main ideas of competitive intelligence theory, that is to issue the contentfrom the competitive environment research, competitor research, competitive strategyresearch as well as the relations among the above three dimensions. meanwhile, tosummarize the formation process and the main points of the theory of competitiveintelligence system; in addition, to build Chinese automotive industry competitiveintelligence system model, including requirements analysis and logical architecture ofcompetitive intelligence acquisition subsystem, competitive intelligence analysissubsystem and competitive intelligence services subsystem; combined with the actualneeds to automotive industry information upgrading and decision support services,this is the first comprehensive introduction to competitive intelligence acquisitionsubsystem, competitive intelligence analysis subsystem and competitive intelligenceservices subsystem, providing reference for auto enterprises’ carrying out researchand construction; finally, to look forward to the future of the Chinese automotiveindustry competitive intelligence system, pointed out the problems need to be furtherresearched, so as to provide efficient, continuous and orderly competitive intelligencesupport to the decision-making of automotive industry and enterprises.
