Now days, people needs to face many natural disasters and unexpected events,such as earthquakes, mine disaster, chemical spills, terrorist activities. For such special occasions, people are unable to know the details of these circumstances,and a large number of unknown factors may cause great threats to life. To face these special circumstances, if we can use the advanced technology and equipment to know the situation in time, we can make commands and decisions, which would save people and reduce the loss of property, with great significance. At present, there are many devices and systems for emergency rescue. The most typical example is the unmanned aerial vehicle(UAV) and the mobile robot. Research in this field has been studied, and it has been widely used. But these emergency equipmentsare expensive and bulky, also complicated to operate. Their movements will be limited by the circumstances and thus they can hardly get into the scene, which can’t meet the needs of monitoring accidental scenes.In this paper, a kind of multi sensor ball system has been proposed, which can be used in different emergency scenes. The system is mainly composed by a wireless multi-sensor ball device, a receiving terminal and an emergency command platform. The system uses the COFDM technology for wireless communication. It can easily get into the emergency and disaster environments, to achieve the audio and video surveillance from the dangerous environment which the rescue workers cannot enter。This research mainly completes the design and implementation of the wireless multi-sensor ball device, using COFDM and H.264 video encoding technology, with a structure like a ball,based on the need to load audio and video sensors, collection audio and video information in time. It is so small that can be thrown into the accidental scene which the rescue workers cannot get into,and collects information then transmits to the external receiving terminal by wireless communication. The receiving terminal receive and output the audio and video information,it can also send the information to the emergency command platform. Emergency command platform achieve emergency rescue and command decision by data collection, data processing and data analysis. The system can provide information for the emergency rescue and command decision, and improve the response to emergencies, save time and reduce the loss of property. |
