Early reading have far-reaching influences on children. Researcher found that: 0-3 years is the best time to develop children’s reading interest, 3-6 years is a key stage to cultivate children’s reading ability. Numerous researches also found that: early reading can not only promote the development of children’s emotions, thinking, imagination, etc, but also be closely related to children’s future academic achievement.Repetition is a reading characteristic of preschool, most of them enjoy re-reading. However, this important reading characteristic of preschool has not yet attracted enough attention of domestic researcher. Existing research is just referred to this phenomenon, and initiatives parents should to support repeated reading.This study firstly use Tobii T60 XL eye tracker as a tool to collect eye movement data of heat maps, fixation duration, fixation times of 30 preschool in reading " A Sick Day for Amos McGee" 5 times. Through eye movement experiment we conclude: preschool will have a different discovery at each time of reading; repeated reading can improve the level of older preschool’s print knowledge.In view of the great value of repeated reading to preschool,a questionnaire was also conducted. The questionnaire was aimed to understand preschool’s preferences, parents’ attitude to the repeated reading and also the status implementation in family of the repeated reading through distributing and calling back questionnaires from parents of children in kindergarten affiliated to Jiangsu University.Based on the literature and empirical research, the motivation,factors and mechanism of repeated reading were discussed. The progressiveness of text comprehension, the desire of familiar plot and the interest of details rumination are the main motivations of repeated reading. The interventional numbers, age of children, picture building, difficulty of picture book, reading concepts of parents are the main influence factors of repeated reading. Improving the ability of language, observation, comprehension and the level of reading are the value of repeated reading.Finally, some suggestions were put forward to the parties concerned. First of all we put forward recommendations for preschool reading service of public library. Secondly we put forward recommendations for original picture book authors’ creation. Finally, we put forward proposals for preschool reading researchers. Public library should preach the concept of repeated reading, recommend bibliography suited for repeated reading, reinforce the training and guidance for parents. Pre-school’s books in the community library should focus on quality. In picture books, color should be brightly, words should be concise and clear. The authors of original picture books should pay more attention to the outline of the detail and to the drawing of face and neck. Related researchers should strengthen the study about reading psychology, reading needs, reading characteristics, reading law,etc.
