D company is a joint venture, founded in 2003, mainly engaged in passenger car research and development, procurement, production, manufacturing, sales and service business, It is one of the few domestic auto production companies which is equipped with the whole value chain. With the rapid expansion of the scale of production and management, the company has implemented many computer room relocation projects in order to meet the needs of business development.Based on grounded theory methodology this research explores 3 issues in the aspect of D company’s computer room relocation project related risk factors: A. What risk factors will be identified in this project? B. What’s the key risk factors? C. What is the relationship between the top ten key risk factors?Firstly, under the guidance of the grounded theory methodology, collect data through the expert interviews, carry out data analysis and theoretical construction by using the grounded theory method. A total of 28 kinds of risk factors were identified, and the risk factors model of the computer room relocation project was constructed from the dimensions of project management, technology management and resource management.Secondly, using the AHP method to evaluated the risk factors index system, calculate a comprehensive weight of each risk factor and conduct a preference setting on them, Select top 10 risk factors of the 3rd-level index system, followed by: Hampered communications and coordinations, Unclear duty division, Change of the project scope, Resources can not be in place as required, Accident, Policies and regulations affecting the implementation of the project, Change of the project requirements, Program verification is not conducted fully to ensure its validity, Technicians are too confident about their technical capability, decision-making power is highly concentrated in the individual.Lastly, use interpretation structural model(ISM) to analyze the structural relationship among the top ten key risk factors, so to construct this project related risk factors interpretation structure model for the computer room relocation project. The following 3 risks factors, decision-making power is highly concentrated in the individual and change of the project scope and hampered communications and coordinations at the bottom are identified as the root risk factors. Finally, briefly introduce the D company computer room relocation project risk response measures.In summary, this research based on grounded theory, using the qualitative method of the close connection with the practice, and the research results have higher credibility. Assisted by AHP and ISM methods, systematic analysis of qualitative and quantitative methods to combine the system to obtain a more profound insight. Thus effectively manage the computer room relocation project related risks and reduce corresponding losses and adverse effects, so to successfully achieve the computer room relocation project’s objectives.
