After entering the 21st century,with the advent of economic globalization and social information,the global market economy environment is undergoing tremendous changes,competition among major enterprises is intensifying,accelerating the R & D of new products,preempting technology to the highest point,and mastering market initiative are effective ways for enterprises to enhance their competitiveness.New product development activities are characterized by high risks,high investment and high returns,and the failure rate of new product development is very high.These characteristics determine the importance and necessity of risk management for new product R & D projects.If we can identify the risk factors that may arise during the product development process,preemptive prevention or proper circumvention will not only reduce the risk loss of new product R&D projects,but also guarantee the success rate of R&D projects.Therefore,it is necessary and significant to carry out risk management for R&D projects of new products.Taking M company as an example,based on the related theories of new product development,project management and risk management,this paper analyzes the status quo,risk management status and existing problems of M company's new product R&D project,taking M company's smart payment product R&D project as an example.Combine project risk management theory with practice,using the brainstorming method for qualitative analysis,and the risk factors are analyzed in detail;using the analytic hierarchy process for quantitative analysis,the relative weights of risk factors are calculated and ranked,and factors that have the greatest impact on the risk of M company's new product R&D project are obtained,in order to take targeted countermeasures.Taking Huawei as an example,this paper studies and draws on Huawei's IPD project risk management system and its experience,and attempts to develop a set of risk management procedures and methods suitable for M company's new product development: establishing M company risk management expert group,applying the relevant theoretical methods of project risk management,conducting risk identification and analysis of M company's new product R&D projects,formulating risk response strategies,Finally,the relevant monitoring and safeguard measures for M company's new project product R&D project were planned,and a new product R&D project risk management system for M company was established to reduce risk loss,improve M company's new product R&D efficiency and management level,and provide reference for R&D project risk management of other companies.
