The prevention and control of cotton pests and diseases proves to be an important link in the process of cotton planting. Therefore, a timely and effective collection of information about cotton pests and diseases naturally becomes the premise and basis of monitoring and further forecasting. However, traditional way of collecting data by filling in paper forms manually presents several defects for the error caused in space and time, the cumbersome statistics and its time-consuming characteristic.(1)Using the cotton spider mite data of the 2004~2015 No.7 Division 125 regiment, the cotton spider mite monitoring model based on Markov chain and the cotton spider mite prediction based on hidden Markov models were established. Using GIS spatial interpolation techniques and python scripting language, constructed the cotton spider mite damage analysis of coupling solution.(2) Based on the Android development platform, combined with Arc GIS for Android Runtime SDK, the cotton pest information collection function is realized. Users can install the App, then brow the cotton field with the offline map, mark the location where cotton pests and diseases occur, and through network, the data are further sent to the spatial-temporal database in the service terminal. Then the integrating and storing of spatial data and attribute data are realized, which facilitate the subsequent analysis and processing.(3)Using Arc Map called the cotton spider mite data in the database, then invoke python model script, combined with interpolation analysis functions, monitoring and forecast of cotton spider mite service production of thematic maps was implemented,and by the use of Arc GIS Server, the services are published to the user directly, shorten information dissemination channels, real time has increased significantly.(4) Mobile terminal with third-party push platform JPush established a connection with the server. Using Model Builder model, SQL and other techniques to achieve a serious pest location belongs to farmers’ information retrieval, a push platform for personalized push based on LBS, cotton spider mite services more tailored, more practical.Through application and practice, it shows that this system has the characteristics of instantaneity, accurate positioning, public participation and so on.
