With the coming of information society, the ways of getting information have dramatically changed, and the acquisition of information is increasingly relying on the Web. The Web is a vast information container with plenty of various information, but what people focus is only the information they concern, so there exits the contradiction between the demand of information seeker and the supply of information provider. Under this background, a novel technology and an information service model appear.. Those are called push technology and information push service. The essence of push technology is to make information easy for customers to get, and its advantages incarnate the activity and personalization of information. With this technology, information can be pushed to the customers actively and timely. So it's very significative to research push technology. In the first two chapters, systematic research has been done on puch technology itself from such aspects as current research conditions, concept, characteristics, and principles and so on.Push technology has changed the way to get information and provide information.Information push service is based on push technology, but not the same with push technology ,besides,it concerns the problem of service objective.For agricultural information, it has special domain value because the customers are mainly farmers, agricultural technical persons, agricultural trade persons, government staffs of agricultural department, agricultural researchers. When agricultural information is pushed to potential users, different push methods should be adapted for the user type. Only by this way, can satisfactory service effect be achieved.The third chapter has focused on the three push methods (RSS, mail, short message) which are usually used in agriculture information service field.In this chapter ,we especially pay more attention to the research of RSS and it's application in agriculture information service field.The implementation of push technology is the process of using specific technology to provide information push service.In this process we first design user's interest model and ther mainly analyze, design and implement information push system. As the provider of information service, information push system is the research point of this chapter.The fourth chapter firstly focuses on system analysis, system design and so on, and then constructs and implements the agriculture information intelligent push sytem.In the process of system analysis, the goal, service objective, information source and so on have been made sure, which has laid down the foundation for system design.In the process of system design logic structural design, function module design and database design; especially user interest model has been put forward. In the process of system design,on the basis of comparing the structure of present application systems and the relevant Web database technologies, the author adopted B/S structure and chooses JSP, Java and Mysql as tools to develop the system.As for agricultural information service field, this thesis's research on the push method of agricultural information service and on the analysis, design and implementation of agricultural information intelligent push system is of practical value, which is actually significant to enhance the agricultural information service level and to raise the agricultural personnel's information acquiring capability.
