IMS(IP Multimedia Subsystem, Chinese name: IP Multimedia Subsystem) is a third-party opening, independent bearing and controlling network architecture model with integration of multimedia functions, standardized core telecommunications. It is a multimedia core platform with management function, control function and charging function. It can meet existing customer innovation, more user-friendly multimedia capabilities. Currently, IMS technology is considered to be the current focus on core network technology development, It is the key technology to solve the combined by operators of mobile network and fixed voice network, it launched a voice, Internet, video triple fusion differences, individual communication service。First, this paper describes theoretically the IMS network architecture, then the basic function of each network element to do the basic introduction. Then the conventional process of IMS is introduced, including basic concept of sip protocol in IMS, IMS subscribers visit domain and roaming domain registration messages and session-related cognitive processes.Secondly, we introduce the IMS network topology and the CRBT service signaling flows and the reasons for using the gateway mode, According to the time delay and loss of voice perceived problems in the current network, the two media stream switching process is analyzed in depth, which is the fundamental problem of the time delay between the two parties. Finally leads to the optimization of the key IMS signaling process, proposed the IMS call signaling by twice the media flow update process, optimization for a media flow update process point of view, thus maximize reduce time delay problem.With the continuous advancement of technology, users should been provided by the perception arguably better, but the truth is not entirely so. The current IMS era, single-game point increase in equipment capacity, more independent network entities, bearing surface using IP packet, the communication language developed from narrowband to broadband SS7 signaling protocol SIP, this result is more IMS network elements, and bearing surface is also the transition from TDM to IP, an increase in the communication negotiation between devices.Therefore, this paper researches IMS signaling flow optimization system, and the delay is inevitable, but how the system is reduced to the extent of the delay can not be perceived by the user to optimize future IMS signaling a direction of development.
