Development of network technology is moving towards the dierection of diversification, flat and all-IP.As the growing number of wireless access technology, to support heterogeneous networks with mobility and the end-to-end Quality of Service in heterogeneous networks becomes one of the key technologies of today's mobile system. Next Step In Signaling (NSIS), through its own hierarchy, can hierarchically process network address, routing information, quality of service, firewall and other application requirements, and can provide a reliable end to end network quality of service guarantee. The paper begins from the existing QoS supportive protocols. The author analyzes the existing QoS technologys, including IntServ, DiffServ, RSVP and NSIS,and after that summarizes the advantage of NSIS in mobility managment and ended to end QoS support. With the use of NS2 simulation platform, the aythor improves the NSIS protocols of link and node structure in existing network simulation environment, and then realise the basic implementation and expansion with the multi-hop in wireless scenario. And in the end the author simulates the crossover node (CRN) ditection and process in the simulation environment. Then, the dessertation propose a project combining the NSIS and Fast handover Hierarchical Mobile IP named as FHMN.The program uses FHMIP as a trigger to start the NSIS protocols in upper layers in advance, and completes the resource reservation through the NSIS NTLP layer route discovery sentences and NSLP layer QoS NSLP mechanism. The project also includes the CRN discover mechanism in order to reduce duplication of path reserved. After the comparative analysis the signaling cost, process latency and resource occupancy of the independent FHMIP with the NSIS protocol,NSIS-FHMIP with CRN and FHMN respectively, the results demonstrate that the project of FHMN can significantly improve quality of service in a complex network structure circumstances, although it will bring protocol signaling cost and processing delay a little more. Then, after, the dissertation describes an idea of a combination of NSIS and IEEE802.21 (MIH).It puts forward the use of MIH's three service models to provide NSIS with routing, path, and QoS information, realises the vertical QoS,on nodes in heterougenious network environment. Finally, the author summaries the whole dissertation, and proposes a profile of FHMN with inter MAP domain senario and a MIH interface specification recommendation towards up layers. In summery, the essay propose one simulation upgrade profile and two NSIS combination michenisms——FHMN in FHMIP and herogenious QoS mode in MIH, and the development advice for the future.
