Communication theorist Marshall Mc Luhan has a famously said: "the medium is the message." The popularization of computer Internet technology development, production, dissemination, receiving and processing the parties of information and data, facing higher skill requirements are put forward. In such a high frequency of contact with all sorts of new media era, how to effectively cognition and use of new media, how to cognitive dialectically and rational response to the impact of information explosion, how to effectively improve the ability to participate in media and production of dissemination of information, become inevitable problems facing their people, is also one of the most important aspects of the media literacy education. Youth is in growth stage, the mind is not fully mature, more easily influenced by the good and bad media information, how to improve the level of teenagers’ media literacy, in the process of media information maintain independent thinking and rational judgment, is the hotspot and focus of the field, some experts and scholars to study. At present, in view of the reality of our country national condition, primary and secondary schools has not been able to large-scale opening specialized courses on media literacy education, as a result, the media literacy education in the family influence on teenagers is particularly important and should not be ignored.Studied in this paper in the media environment, factors affecting the youth media literacy family empirical research and put forward corresponding to the family of the media literacy education countermeasures and Suggestions, in order to teenagers in the process of using new media to a certain extent, can avoid disadvantages, to cultivate teenagers in the family environment of media information analysis ability and creation ability. According to the purpose of this study, the research on the basis of the study of a large number of literature analysis, from the cognition of the new media and using ability, the analysis of the media information and thinking ability and the creation of media information and participation ability three dimensions to study teenagers and their parents’ media literacy level, from the parents’ level of education, communication, family network life specification, family atmosphere and inter subjectivity, the five dimensions to explore family factors influence on youth media literacy level, mainly using the method of questionnaire research, nanjing NO.29 middle school, as well as the international department of nanjing NO. 3 middle school of the three schools in the new moon, lunar calendar and the high school students and their parents a questionnaire, empirical investigation and research.Through investigation and study analysis, this study draw the conclusion: first, the parents’ level of education has a significant influence on teenagers’ media literacy level, the higher parents’ education level, children’s media literacy is higher, too. Second, the "multiple" parent-child communication to a certain extent can raise the level of teenagers’ media literacy, "consistent" second. Third, the establishment of appropriate home network living standard will improve the level of teenagers’ media literacy. Fourth, the family atmosphere more harmonious, teenagers’ media literacy level is higher. Fifth, if in the equal and harmonious relationship between parents and teenagers’ media literacy level is higher. According to research conclusions, in order to better carry out for teenagers in the family of the media literacy education, this study put forward some countermeasures and Suggestions: improve the ability of self education parents, Family communication pattern shape "diversity", Establish effective family network life specification, Create a good family atmosphere, Formation of equal and harmonious parent-child relationship.
