With the depletion of non renewable energy, the pollution of the environment and the global climate, the new energy has received extensive attention because of its advantages such as renewable, non polluting and so on. In order to solve the problems of solar energy, wind energy and other new energy sources, such as intermittent supply, large fluctuation, low energy density and low energy density, micro grid emerges as the times require. Due to its advantages of simple control, low cost, high efficiency and convenient access to distributed power supply, DC micro grid has a very good development prospect. For DC micro grid, the most important is to ensure the safe, reliable and stable operation of the system. The control system of DC micro grid can realize the coordinated operation between the execution units and can overall system performance. The monitoring system can monitor and analyze the running state and data of the DC micro grid, and realize the protection of the micro grid system, which make the system safe and stable operation.An experimental platform is designed and built in this paper. This platform consists of Photovoltaic system (PV), wind power system (WP), a Li-ion battery pack(LIB), a lead acid battery pack, ultra-capacitor bank(UC), an electric vehicle, controllable electric load, LED lamps and central control unit all together. The basic function of each module of the DC micro grid is verified, and the convenience of energy coordination is verified. Design of DC micro grid monitoring system using LAB VIEW, through the design of the communication of the interface and the programming of the monitoring system, the system can complete the monitoring and control of each parameter and switch status of DC micro grid system. Storing, calling and processing the collected data, and using it to protect the system.Data storage system using Windows’s own standardized database Access Microsoft. Using database that programming based on ADO technology to access tool kit LABSQL. The system uses the CAN bus and RS232/485 two kinds of communication methods. Bus voltage using RS485 to transfer to industrial control, and then through the RS232 interface to transfer data to the host computer. The CAN communication card is used to transfer the current and voltage of each module, and the data acquisition card is used to collect the state of each switch.
