The concept of information literacy has been brought out for more than 40 years. During this time, it has been gaining more and more attention and its connotation and relative standard have been completed. In 21st century, the research on information literacy have developed into a new stage with revolution of new information technology and the emerge of new information product. And then, many new innovative ways showed up in information literacy education. Games for information literacy was one of those and has gain much attention. Even though, there were many blanks in the research on games for information literacy which also were short of design and development. Though document study, this paper found that, existing research on information literacy education were mostly focused on the feasibility analysis and strategies of using games into information literacy education. Most conclusion were qualitative and lack of quantitative analysis. On this occasion, this paper conducted a research on an evaluation index system of games for information literacy.Using the evaluation thought and dimension in education field as reference, combing the peculiarity of information literacy, especially the newest "Framework for Information Literacy for Higher Education", this paper was trying to make the final evaluation index adaptive to the newest explanation of information literacy. Besides, the dimension of game was also an important point in the whole paper. Based on the document study and expert consultation, this paper construct 4 first class indicators and 24 specific indicators, and weights of each indicators. At last, this paper showed how to use this evaluation index with an example. In general, the main contents and conclusions were showed as follows.(1) On the basis on document study and considering each characteristic of education game evaluation, information literacy and information literacy education, game elements, this paper summarized 24 specific indicators, and constructed a information literacy education index system with effectiveness, interaction, game experience and learning experience as 4 first class indicators.(2) Using AHP(Analytic Hierarchy Process) and expert consultation, this paper calculated every specific indicators’ weight and analyzed the extent of impact every specific indicator had. Finally, the characteristics of game and system (such as the stability of the system, the nice interactive interface, the hedonic of games, and the fast system response) were found having the largest impact on the information literacy education games. At the same time, all the specific indicators about learning experience have low weight. In this paper, an AHP software was used to help calculating all the math problems and complete the group decision making.(3) Choosing a bookshelves arrangement game "we love bookshelves arrangement crazy " for example, this paper showed how to use this evaluation index system of games for information literacy. Besides the steps during the whole process, this paper also analyzed the results and their reasons. Combing the evaluation index system and the real example, this paper found out that, at present time, the most important thing of designing and developing an information literacy education game was to guarantee the stability and usability of the game system. After all these, high level of game characteristics’ express could be pursued. There were still some shortcomings of this study, such as the subjectivity of choosing indicators, the effectiveness of the whole index system and the more detailed standard of marking. Therefore, in the field of information literacy education game evaluation, future research would be centered on more objective indicator choosing, subsequent validation of the index system and constructing more detailed standard of marking.
