With the rapid development of wireless communication technology and the improvement of people’s attention to the environmental protection and the health, the current popular materials recycling development system is committed to the goal of the convenient and efficient and the connection with the current network technology, which a variety of communication transmission systems have developed.The paper is the study of the information transmission part of the material recycling system. By understanding the progressive development of the wireless technology, the Zigbee technology is introduced, which has the advantages of low cost, low power consumption and low complexity and is widely used in various areas such as medicine, military, agricultural and industrial areas of life compared with other wireless communication devices. Firstly, the system architecture of the whole material recovery system and the information transmission system were introduced. For the hardware, the main module CC2530 chip was designed, which include the design of peripheral circuit, the LED lamp, the crystal and the serial interface circuit between the transmission system. Then, the network topology of Zigbee was simulated by the OPNET simulation software, combined with the analysis of the throughput parameters and the requirement of the actual environment, a tree network structure was concluded to be built and then set up the network. For the software, by realizing the function of the each node in the Zigbee protocol stack, the traditional routing algorithm AODVjr, which is based on the tree structure was introduced and improved. A new routing algorithm, which is based on energy balance is proposed. The energy consumption and other aspects were analyzed by the simulation, the results show that the improved routing algorithm have great benefits for the network. Finally, the tree network structure is tested and the results are analyzed.
