Radar as the "eyes" and "ears" of the modern information technology, it is widely used in the field of military and national production. GPR can provide ground target information and geographic information. Play an important role in many fields such as geological exploration, public transportation, disaster rescue, military security, and so on. With the development of ground penetrating radar, the requirement of the ground penetrating radar is increasing. The GPR test is used as the carrier of all kinds of aircraft. However, it is very necessary to develop a set of radar carrier motion simulation test system which is located on the ground, because of the long test period, high cost and low repeatability.In this paper, a set of radar moving test platform located at the top of the building is designed, The motion control of the Four-DOF of the radar mobile test platform level, lifting, rotating and pitching is completed by the electric control system, So as to simulate the motion process of the aircraft. The main research contents are as follows:(1) The control requirement and characteristics of electric control system are analyzed. And the key elements of electrical control technology are studied. Then, it puts forward the realization method based on the demand of the project.(2) The design of the overall scheme of electric control system, demonstration and determine the way of how to realize the control scheme and the driving scheme and monitoring scheme of electric control system. Motor drive is selected as the driving force. The transmission way is achieved by worm drive and chain drive and other ways.(3) The design and implementation of hardware and software system of radar mobile experiment platform based on the overall scheme design. Selection of PLC as the control core, through the control program to complete the control of a variety of motor drives, The drive and control of the Four-DOF running motor is realized. Through the design of the hardware and software of the upper computer HMI, the monitoring and adjustment of the control process and the control parameters are realized. And a video monitoring system is designed to monitor the running process and the state of the whole mobile test platform.(4) The hardware installation and software debugging of the electrical control system of the radar mobile test platform are completed, The distribution of the hardware circuit, components of the connection, debugging and debugging and optimization of software control program and control algorithm, Finally with the mechanical architecture to achieve a set of can be delivered to use and fully functional and stable radar mobile test platform.
