An air conditioner is a main energy-consumption electric appliance. In recent years, to support the country's energy-saving policy, manufacturers produce inverter air conditioners instead of fixed-frequency air-conditioners, which have a higher EER and consume less energy. The inverter air conditioner electrical control board is very important, so researching on the automatic test system of it is significant for the development of the air-conditioner test technology.In this thesis, an automated test method which based on LabVIEW virtual instrument technology is proposed by comparing several automated test systems commonly used. The tested object inverter air conditioner indoor electrical control board is analyzed, the overall test schemes and each test method and specific steps of the electrical control board circuits are designed, and the theory of the fault propagation digraph is studied, the fault location of the electronic control board circuits is realized with the fault propagation digraph, middle optimization technology and constraint propagation technology. In this thesis,the hardware design of automatic test system is emphasized according to the test requirement,the MCU and IPC software design of this system are also elaborated, The key of the IPC software design is also studied.Experiment verifies that the system test time and accuracy can meet the practical requirements, and in a simulated fault condition, the fault location of the tested object is carried out fast and accurately. Comparing with traditional manual test, the test scheme based on virtual instrument technology is efficient, accurate. It also can display and store the test data in real time, which provides the basis for engineers to improve the performance of inverter air conditioner.
