As phones as users main Internet terminal trend gradually obvious, social media’s influence is also growing, the development of the Internet makes the spread of rumors cost greatly reduced, and the transmission speed and scope has a qualitative leap, on the rise of social media, Internet rumors type, rumors spread path appeared a new feature, the spread of Internet rumors of major social influence makes it impossible to ignore.Weibo and WeChat as denizens use the most heat two big social media, with different characteristics. Weibo is a kind of brief real-time information sharing by focusing on mechanism dependent social networking platform, its social media attribute is self-evident.WeChat is will be highly copied to the virtual social, social reality itself has been beyond the concept of instant messaging tool, is a kind of "private tailored" social tools, has the property of social media.Therefore, this article selects microblogging and WeChat the two representative of social media, as a typical representative of research of social media rumors.The first chapter is the introduction part of the article, including the selected topic background and significance, research ideas, research methods and the definition of innovation, literature review and research questions.Through combing the literature scholars both at home and abroad, discuss the rumors, the current research status of Internet rumors and social media..The second chapter from the media characteristics of weibo and WeChat, sums up the present a shallow social weibo, propagation characteristics, is a kind of weak ties, weibo rumors often after germination stage, fermentation stage, the height, the phase offset and repeated process, and associated with derivative rumors to appear.WeChat has deep social, pure propagation characteristics, is a strong relationship, so rumours WeChat post title more bold, exaggerated, title more than content with sensational and deliberately exaggerated words to attract attention and arouse fear is given priority to, and encouraged the netizens share forwarding, rumors of text using a large number of figures and images, filled with all sorts of exclamation, modal particles, adjectives, conspicuous.The third chapter of the article is a focus in the study of this article.Respectively with quantitative analysis to quantify the weibo rumors and rumors WeChat research, samples selected from the official account in 2013-2015 rumours of rumors, rumors that social class (65.7%), interest rise, it also puts forward new requirements for government scientific administrative information.WeChat "strong relationship" determines its easy to spread rumours that rumors are extremely hard science class.WeChat also appeared on WeChat rumors of the product itself.This is the user for WeChat product itself there is distrust of the problem, with the typical characteristics of quasi real-name WeChat, more emphasis on privacy and closed, therefore the instinct of reaction and the fear of information leakage, numerous WeChat rumors of the product itself, also for the security of WeChat put forward higher requirements.The fourth chapter of the article and the spread of rumors WeChat weibo rumors mechanism, the mechanism of rumours, and clarify the mechanism of punishment, the forward.Government level mainly from improving the Internet legislation, changing role orientation, reconstruction of the government’s credibility, and scientific release information about the rumours that four aspects;Media level is from adherence to the objective principle, put an end to fake news, real associative play a role of agenda-setting, fully arouse the enthusiasm of opinion leaders and let our subjective initiative "public opinion field" five aspects.
