Chip Taping machine is a equipment in the production process of light emitting diode (LED). Put on an LED that classified by sorting machine through the feeder and gear to the testing station.The tester will be powered LED to test its polarity and send it to the carrier tape in the same row, and finally through the hot part cover band playing into the take part, finished the object of packaging. With the rapid development of LED industry, chip LED taping machine has become essential equipment in the packaging industrv.This paper introduces the mainstream domestic and international LED taping machine, study its characteristics,a detailed analysis of the basic structure,operation flow and working principle of taping machine, reasonable design out of two new functional mechanism, successfully use in the new models and proposed design specifications. By comparing the advantages and disadvantages of the three control schemes, chose Omron PLC control system.proposed overall control scheme.Based on the design specifications,designed the control logic flow diagram of the functional mechanism, and integrated control timing diagram of the taping machine. Control system is based on the ideological line of the control object-oriented programming and modularization, divided into automatic mode and manual modeusing.Around the core issue of complex control of real time multi thread,expand the real time control technology research,using CX-Programmer programming software as a development tool,complete the program of the ladder diagram and debugging, by the optimization and improvement of the program, control time of each mechanism is greatly reduced, thereby improve the production efficiency of the whole machine.Based the principles of man-machine interface development,developed taping machine’s user interface of touch-screen,analysis taping machine other needs and set the parameters, the page design of routine maintenance and rights management and so on, and realize interface function,the rich control interface facilitate the user.Finall,test the prototype on the design specifications and parameter optimization. Through debugging of the whole machine at different speeds.the performance of the whole machine is analyzed, and the feasible optimization scheme is put forward to the problems that appear in the test.After optimization.the prototype to achieve the desired goals,compared to the last generation models.this model has been greatly improved in accuracy and reliability, speed can reach 50K, and can maintain stable operation. Finally the machine passed the acceptance of enterprise project.The taping machine of this paper developed is based on PLC control system, having a friendly interface, work fast, high efficiency, high control accuracy, high stabilitv. and low cost.
