Research On Construction Of Evaluation Index System For Information Service Of College&University Archival Websites Of China

In the Information era, the Archival Websites of colleges and universities are the windows to offer information service for the Archives. They play important roles in helping users meet their information demands. During the process of informatization of archival work and modernization of archival services, the Archival Websites have become one of the most important aspects. Nowadays, Archives of colleges and universities which have built Websites occupied a large proportion. But Archives of colleges and universities should pay more attention to the quality of information services that the Archival Websites offer. Considering the current situation of researching results of the evaluation system especially for the Archival Websites of colleges and universities, the paper attempts to build the system of evaluation indexes especially for the Archival Websites in information services.Based on the cosideration of the question, this paper definites several conceptions related to information services of Archival Websites firstly. Then this paper preliminarily investigates the Archival Websites of colleges and universities to get the investigation objects. Next, the paper designs a surveying form for the Archival Websites by the way of advising experts. The paper chooses thirty-two universities’Archives as the sample to carry out the survey and obtain the outcomes of the survey afterwards. The paper preliminarily studies out the Evaluation system for the Archival Websites of higher education institutons after analysing the consequences. Then this paper builds the Evaluation indexes system from the perspective of users by the methods of advising experts. Then, the article determines the weights of all indexes by the way of Analytic Hierarchy Process(A.H.P.) scientifically. Finally, the paper randomly chooses ten Archival websites of univeisities’ Archives as the sample to empirically analyse to prove the applicability and easy-operation of the Evaluation index system. At the same time, we know clearly the weakness of the Evaluation indexes system through the research. So, the paper tries to optimize the system finally.
