A national archival career flourished depends on the maturity and development of the archival education. Archival higher education as the main body of the archival education shoulder the important task of the prosperity of archival career. Archival higher education all over the world not only sees the opportunities, but also faces enormous challenges. China has a need to learn from the advanced experience of foreign archival higher education to develop and improve our own archival education system. Canada is the pioneer of archival higher education in the world. Its archival education system starting in graduate level through a century and gradually matured. So there is some inherent teaching ideas and experiences that we can learn from.The development of the discipline of education mature will not be easy Therefore the archival higher education in Canada is the research object in my paper and especially focus on the master education. Doctoral education is the supplemented of the whole archival higher education in Canada. Systematic research and introduced on the basis of an extensive literature survey. The first part has summarized the research of this problem and comes a basic conclusion of this problem thus have a preliminary understanding of domestic and international research on this subject. According to the current research of developing history of archival higher education in Canada and my own research, in the second chapter, this paper introduces the evolution of archival higher education and trying to figure out the root cause of each stage to promote Canada’s archival higher education forward development. The third chapter of the Canadian archival higher education system makes a thorough and detailed analysis and discussion to reveal its high-level standard of teaching and the diversity of the students and teachers resources. Chapter four starts from specific professional teaching angle of Canadian archival higher education to introduce the two guiding outline and universities archival curriculum by specific cases. Chapter five is the heart of this paper and author will make a objectively valuation on the archival higher education in Canada. Author summarized its successful teaching experience for the international perspective, open education model and orderly and flexible teaching methods. Hope that it can provide some help for the reform and innovation in our archival higher education system. At the same time, I also pointed out that Canada archive in higher education teaching level monotonous. Universities ignore the social awareness of the archive in these two areas inadequacies, in order to make an objective assessment of Canada as a whole archive of higher education.
