With the progress of science& technology and development of film & television in recent years, people’s appreciation of the art of film and television are continuously improving, so higher requirement are putting forward to the production of film and television. Video post-production industry, as a sunrise industry in the 21st century, is facing a great challenge. The digital video post-production course is an important course in film or related major in vocational colleges; it takes an important responsibility in the post-production industry, the curriculums’planning and designing directly affects the production level of the film post-production industry. However, with the development of high technology, new-media, new teaching method and the digitization of the film and television media, the problems in the course of digital video post-production course in higher vocational colleges are highlighted. The problems presented as the single teaching form and the lack of learning motivation among the students. Combined with the demand of the talents in current society and the basic characteristics of the students in vocational colleges, the course proposed a kind of teaching mode on the basis of project, and a mode of task oriented project teaching according to the requires of the contents. The course aimed at training students’post ability, improving students’learning efficiency and overall quality, optimizing teaching methods of the teachers.Under the instruction of constructivism and cognitive learning theory, and the method of literature researching, this paper researched the advantage of the project-oriented teaching of the digital video post-production course. Through the actual research and analysis, this paper also certified the feasibility and superiority of the project-oriented teaching method and come to conclusion as follows:Ⅰ. The project-oriented teaching and activities should focus on the students and the students should occupy the leading position in the class-teaching process. In the project implementation process, the teachers should take the students as the teaching center and give more time to the students. Students could analyze and solve the problems through a variety of ways; it is good for the divergence of students’thinking ability and the intrinsic motivation of students.Ⅱ. In the process of project-oriented teaching, using autonomous learning and cooperative group learning style, the students could train their capacity of cooperation to explore the problems, which leads to a formation of a strong sense of teamwork.Ⅲ. Through the designing and producing of the course, and simulating the real scene in the society, students will have a sense of accomplishment after the project.Ⅳ. Through the practicing and analyzing, this paper certified that the course would have a significant teaching effect and improve the interests of the students. It is helpful to the improvement of students’thinking consciousness and teachers’teaching ability.This paper is divided into six parts. The first part mainly introduces the background, significance, research ideas and methods, as well as the research status at both domestic and foreign.The second part is mainly about the theoretical basis of the project. The paper analyzed the theoretical basis of the project teaching, content, characteristics, teaching process, evaluation and guarantee of the objectives through consulting relevant martial.The third part analyzed the feasibility and necessity of project in the course of digital video post-production in vocational colleges.In the fourth part, the author selected a video clips as a case, which contained in the integrated project "computer assembly", described the ideas and processes in designing of the project teaching. Firstly, according to the content and objective of the course, the module and the project are determined. Then select the video clips "computer assembly" as a case to carry out the detailed teaching plan and teaching design. In the end, the effect of project teaching will be evaluated.The fifth part analyzed the achievements and results of project teaching of the course in vocational colleges, summarized the advantages of project teaching in the course.The sixth part concluded that project-oriented teaching mode is better than the traditional mode through the research and the practice research. Although the project teaching has made some achievements, there are problems. This paper provided a reference and put forward reasonable suggestions for future curriculum practice through the study of this subject.
