The curriculum is the core of university education,The study of university curriculum is still the weakness in the study of higher education China. Journalism communication is a practical subject, and the journalism education in China has been based on the United States since it was founded. Especially after China’s higher education began to pay attention to general education,the reform of journalism education is imminent,especially in the curriculum.This paper takes the Yenching University Department of Journalism and Journalism Department of Fudan University as a sample, using literature method and case study method, analysis and research on the curriculum of the two journalism education institutions.By exploring the course of Journalism Education in University in the period of Republic of China, trying to modern journalism education reform to provide some reference ideas. This article mainly includes the following several parts of research content:The first part mainly from the press of the appeal,the journalists to promote, the influence of Journalism School of University of Missouri, news education in University in the period of Republic of China were analyzed.The second part selected news institutions of University on behalf of the faculty, namely Yenching University Department of Journalism and Fudan University Department of journalism, to research their curriculum.The third part is the key part of this paper. Through the analysis mentioned in the course of the news department of Yenching University and Fudan University Department of journalism, in the perspective of the organization of the curriculum, the curriculum goal, curriculum content and curriculum implementation, curriculum characteristics of Journalism Education in University in the period of Republic of China were discussed.To promote the development and progress of the society as the goal of curriculum;The course content of general education;In the course of curriculum implementation, the coordination development of theoretical and practical courses is emphasized.The fourth part aims at the characteristics of University journalism education in the Republic of China,according to China’s current journalism education in the curriculum of the problems,Do not pay attention to the news ethics course;The curriculum is too specialized;Do not attach importance to practical teaching.Some suggestions are put forward on the reform of the news education in our country.To cultivate the sense of social responsibility of journalism talents;The cultivation of compound talents with specialized news;Training theory and practice of cooperative development of News Talents.
