Medium frequency induction heating has been extensive used in industry field that has many advantages,include efficiently,non-pollution,easy control and good-quality surface and so on. In process of the heating,the organization and performance of cooled-metal blank depends on the heating temperature, therefore heating temperature is very important.The traditional manual operation and the control method, its characteristic is low precision, bad intelligence, and low efficiency, so to ensure that qualified rate of the heating workpiece, it is necessary to control the temperature of medium frequency induction heating furnace strictly. In order to improve the qualified rate of heating workpiece and the efficiency of production system, that must to build automatic heating temperature control system.In this paper based on the analysis of heating mechanism, process, and principle of medium frequency induction heating furnace and the heating, the requirements analyses of the induction heating control system is presented, and then establish the control strategy and frame of Titanium and titanium alloy induction heating process. In the hardware part, first of all, using dependable and stable Industrial Personal Computer(IPC) as a host computer, and using Programmable Logic Controller( PLC) and programmable temperature control instrument as a computer. Secondly distributed control system is made up of PLC, IPC and intelligent instrument by structure. Finally using the fuzzy-PID as a control idea. Then the stable control of the heating temperature is realized. In the software part, in order to realize the collection, display, record and alarm information feedback of the data, using Kingview to build upper control interface.It is shown by industry application that this control system can satisfy the actual control, operation demand and stable running, and improves the intelligence, stability, noise immunity and expansibility. And to ensure the qualified rate of heating workpiece, and enhance the enterprise’s economic and social benefits. Therefore this system will be widely applied.
