China is very rich in coal resources, ranking second in the world. While China is a large consumption of coal, the coal industry is still a very important position in China’s economic construction. China’s coal is mainly from underground mining. The coal industry is in poor natural conditions and dangerous in various sectors of industrial production.In this paper, a realization of underground posonnel automatic positioning system design is introduced. Shanxi Qingxin Coal Mine set up a personnel positioning attendance management. The entire system uses wireless data collection, transmission cable, each underground personnel is equipped with an identity code sending a wireless signal of its own staff numbers. Along the roadway, code Stations are set up to receive wireless signals to collect information and data. The collected information is sent to mornitoring computer through computer data communication, then the host computer complete the analysis of the data, processing, storage, display and tracking. The host computer of the ground and underground stations use CAN fieldbus protocol connections to constitute a complete system.Using a reliable wireless transceiver module can design identity code station and transmitter, the use of anti-jamming measures can ensure reliable wireless data transmission. Computer data communication use RS-485 bus standard PC and microcontroller to achieve the multi-machine communications. Coal mine unferground personnel monitoring and safety management system software is developed by integrated database management system with Delphi-data collection and information processing.The system is mainly based on Client / Server model of SQL Server 2000 database. The procedures are simple and reliable, displaying the Underground station personnel and storing the historical information. At the same time, a set of simple, easy to maintain the mine topology mapping software is produced to guarantee to directly show the distribution of Underground personnel.This paper introduces Qingxin coal mine underground staff attendancepositioning system, its features, its functions, and its application in the coal enterprises, which provides a better practical experience for the choice of Underground staff attendance positioning system. At the same time, the author also proposed the shortcomings of the design.
