Positioning management system of personnel under mine is a set ofcomprehensive application system, used in coal mine for positioning, tracking andmanaging underground workers, and cooperating with coal mine safety supervisionsystem. Its application greatly helps us to rescue personnel efficiently in coal mineaccident. It also improves safety management level in coal mine enterprises to a higherclass, and realizes the modernization and informationization of personnelmanagement.In this paper we discussed a complete positioning management system ofpersonnel in mine in detail, and some key technology was explained. Based on this, werealized the software system with c#in the environment VS2008.During developing thesystem, the author had an enough investigation about the system requirements, and gotreal requirements by discussing with part of the final user in detail, and designed relatedalgorithm aboratively. The system achieved or exceeded the technical requirement,described in the general technical requirements of coal mine safety monitoring system.It can adapt and meet the special personalized function and performance requirementsof the final user, and has strong expansion ability. We can expand the system functionbased on new requirement supplied by user in the future. Also we have reservedinterface to exchange data with other related system.The main content of this paper is as following:1. Introduces the application background of the system, and the research andapplication situation at home and abroad. Compared with other country, our researchabout personnel positioning under mine is late. More and more enterprises participate inthe research at present. Many research results have been used in actual environment,and have had some good effect.2. Expatiates on the system hardware composition, communication methodbetween hardware and communication technology commonly used. Thesecommunication technologies mainly included RFID, ZigBee, UWB and WI-FI precisepositioning technology etc. Also the paper introduces the technical problems existed currently in personnel positioning.3. Analyses the function of each component of software system and thecorresponding data flow, and the design thought of software etc. Also analyses the keyalgorithm of software in detail, and also introduces the database design principles, dataacquisition and data structure.4. Discusses the prospect of the system application and the technologicalimprovement in the future. The current system is deficient in signal coverage,positioning accuracy, system integration and the production cost etc. These factorsrestrict the application of the system in coal mine production. It is need to increaseinvestment on product development and technology improvement.
