The Socialized Service Of Local University Library Optimization

With the arrival of the era of knowledge economy and learning society, the public library gradually cannot meet the information needs of society. Compared with public libraries, university libraries have information, talents and resources advantages,can be in the the universities’ teaching and scientific researches, meanwhile, to undertake the important task of the serve society, expand the social education function. The libraries of local universities, as the largest scale and highest level information center, how to optimize the socialized service, so that it could play a bigger role in local economic construction and social developments,how the universities and libraries could take socialized service as an opportunity to develop and expand themselves, which is an important topic for library staff to ponder and explore.This paper uses literature research method, survey analysis and comparative method, is based on optimizing the local university libraries socialized service, taking the Library of Hunan University of Science and Engineering, revealing the main problems of local university library socialized service, analyzed the causes, and put forward specific optimization countermeasures. The whole thesis is divided into five chapters: the introduction part reveals the selected topic background and significance, the research results at home and abroad and the research contents and methods of this article; First chapter defined the concept of local university library socialized service, expounded the quasi public product theory and the social function of nonprofit organization theory, and analyzed the necessity of strengthening local university library socialization service function; The second chapter, combined with the present situation of socialized service in the Library of Hunan University of Science and Engineering, analyzed the main problems of local university library socialized service: the socialized service consciousness is not strong, service object is narrow, service content is single, service means is traditional and service effect is not wide; The third chapter from the thought idea lag, dynamic incentive mechanism is insufficient, the lack of specialized personnel, management system and so on are analyzed; The fourth chapter, On the basis of using the experience of foreign university library socialized service, put forward from five aspects of local university library socialized service optimization countermeasures, namely, changing ideas, establishing a dynamic incentive mechanism, cultivating professional talents of high levels of social services, improving the system of social service management, paying attention to the joint development and sharing resources.
