| In recent years,Chinese government has encouraged and actively guided various social forces to participate in the construction of public culture service.University libraries are launching socialized information services for the general public,which can make up for the insufficient public culture service.A major problem for the government is the gap between the ever-growing spiritual and cultural needs of the people and the unbalanced and inadequate development,when the socialism with Chinese characteristics has crossed the threshold into a new era.Therefore,university libraries need to explore a scientific and effective social service pattern and play a more important role in the social,economic and cultural construction,when the teachers and students’ needs were fulfilled.Taking the library of Hainan Medical University(HNMU)as an example,this paper studied the optimization strategy of social services in the library of Hainan Medical University from the perspective of stakeholders.First,through a comprehensive analysis of the status and existing problems of socialized services,it was found that the HNMU library was beset by problems such as fewer social readers,single form of technological innovation service,slow development of co-construction and sharing,inadequate social training system,insufficient support for policies and regulations,intellectual property risks,and lack of incentives.Then the stakeholders of socialized service of the HNMU library were classified and defined: library managers,librarians,teachers and students were the primary key stakeholders,and school administrators were the secondary key stakeholders.The public was the primary non-critical stakeholder,and the database vendor and the government were secondary non-critical stakeholders.The investigation found that the conflicts between the interests of the public and university teachers and students,the misalignment of the interests of librarians and the public,and the differences in the values pursued by database vendors and library managers were the essential factors restricting socialized services.Finally,to address the above constraints,specific countermeasures have been proposed in terms of policies and regulations,service models,fundraising,and intellectual property risk prevention. |
