Research On The Current Situation And Countermeasure Of The Socialized Service Of University Libraries

In recent years,the policies and regulations issued by the state have guided university libraries to carry out socialized service work.The service mode of university libraries should be changed from only for the study and research of teachers and students in schools to the service mode for social readers.As the distribution center and dissemination Department of literature and information resources,University Libraries should also assume this responsibility.With the development of the times,information technology has created the possibility for university libraries to provide resources sharing services to the society.University libraries have the responsibility to meet the social and cultural needs,give full play to the public service functions of University libraries,improve the cultural quality of the whole society,and promote the social and cultural construction of University libraries.Sharing of information resources and the development of universities themselves are of vital importance.Based on a large number of investigations on the current situation of the socialized service of University Libraries in China,this paper analyses the survey data,and finds out the problems existing in the process of the socialized service of university libraries by visiting the websites of "double-top" universities in China,and lists them from three aspects: the national policy,the service mechanism of University Libraries and the internal management of University libraries.According to the problems existing in the socialized service of University Libraries at present,this paper puts forward some suggestions from the following aspects: the industry should refine regulations,the governments at all levels should increase financial support,build a hierarchical service system,improve the service level of librarians,strengthen the construction of electronic resources and the union of University Libraries and communities,in order to provide theoretical basis and practical guidance for the follow-up research.
