The Design And Implementation Of OA In Colleges And Universities

With the continuous development of modern network information technology, information network has become the "new normal" in various industries. Our government is now vigorously promoting the construction of government affairs information network, and the establishment and perfection of electronic government affairs have become one of the major development strategies in the face of economic globalization. With the sustainable development of e-government, Office Automation (OA) has been gradually adopted by government divisions, enterprises, and colleges.Office Automation refers to the use of computer technology to improve the efficiency of the office productivity, and to realize office automation. OA System solves basic problems related to daily management standardization, and operation efficiency improvement. It covers a wide range of operations, such as management of daily office resource and administration, approvals for various items, coordination between different office departments, sharing and transfer of all kinds of information. This article used a college OA System as an example, conducted detail research and analysis of functions and demands of current OA System, illustrated the important role of current workflow technology that played in. It combined the construction demands of this college, and projected the college’s OA System through the analysis of J2EE technology and workflow technology specification. At the meanwhile, by analyzing OA System functional modules, this article proposed solution of key issues such as the application of workflow engine and authority control, and then conducted the design and implementation of the system.Based on the operational results, the college OA System achieved the initial design goals, met the needs of daily work, solved cross-department process issues, eliminated information isolated phenomenon inside the college, integrated recourses, accelerated circulation of information, standardized office workflows, improved work efficiency, and laid a solid foundation for college future development.
