Along with the rapid development of modern industrial, pump products are widely used in industrial, life, and other fields, including water pump of the most widely used. In practical applications, the pump shaft of pump performance is one of the important factors affecting the pump running smoothly. Pump belongs to a fluid mechanical structure, in the process of running the impeller structure difference before and after the liquid pressure will make the axial thrust on the pump shaft. If the thrust will make the thrust on the axial thrust bearing is too big and beyond its scope, it will affect the service life of pump. Therefore, a survey of axial force of pump is of great significance for the safe operation of the pump. Before measuring the pump shaft axial force, the force sensor calibration should be carried out. Due to axial force of pump belongs to a dynamic force signal, dynamic calibration need to be done on the basis of the static calibration and determine the dynamic performance indexes such as sensitivity of the sensor.In this paper, the cause of the axial force of pump and cylinder force sensor measuring force principle made a detailed analysis. According to the dynamic calibration of the sensor and the development of the technology of sensor calibration method, and the actual water pump bearing, we can know that cylinder force sensor by measuring the force values of the range of 0~20000N, the measured axial force is a dynamic signal. Because of the static calibration can’t reactor to dynamic signal measurement performance, so we selected the step response method of cylinder force sensor for dynamic calibration on the basis of analyzing the force sensor dynamic performance indicators. In the dynamic calibration system, the dynamic force generator is the core part. Considering the sensor range and characteristics of various kinds of dynamic force signal, final design leveraged step force generator load dynamic force signal of sensors. Dynamic strain gauge with 6224 measurement show that strain bridge output voltage, and translates them into strain values. Through the MATLAB software to collect data to establish parameter model and nonparametric model, and then analyzing the step response of the transducer. To calculate the maximum overshoot, rise time, the dynamic sensitivity, working frequency band performance index to analyze the dynamic characteristic of the cylinder force sensor, achieve the goal of sensor calibration.Cylinder force sensor’s dynamic calibration results reflect the sensor for dynamic signal response ability. The dynamic sensitivity for sensor provides a standard measure. After the test, the sensor’s dynamic error sensitivity in a normal level pressure sensor meet the national standard, satisfy the force sensor measurement standard. Static calibration and dynamic calibration can be found in the found no problems, so as to improve the accuracy of sensor.
