Force sensors are always provided with the static calibration results by the producers. But, theusers always care for if the static calibration results can be used in the dynamic force measurementsespecially in the precise measurements. On the background of the precise measurement of thedynamic forces and moments on the spacecraft induced by its parts moving, this thesis aims thedynamic calibration of a six-component force sensor and the main finished works are as follows.(1) A scheme for the dynamic calibration of the six-component force sensor is designed and setup. The centrifuge force of a rotating weight is used as the standard calibration force. The standardforce is created by a servo motor with a rotating rotor carrying a centrifuge weight. The centrifugeforce is transferred and applied to the six-component force sensor by a specially designedwork-fixture. The six-component force sensor is fixed with a T-slot on a working table.(2) The rationality and the feasibility of the proposed dynamic calibration scheme is analyzed. The generation of the standard centrifuge forces under the motor installed horizontally or vertically isintroduced. The finite element analyses are carried out for the static and dynamic characteristics of thedesigned rotor system in order to verify the correctness. The control principle is research to improvethe running stability for the servo motor.(3) The calibration tests are implemented for the six-component force sensor and the correctingcoefficients are obtained. The calibration test is planned and some groups of centrifuge weights areused. The running speed of the motor is set and the correcting coefficients are achieved by thecomparing of the measured centrifuge force amplitude to the theoretical one.(4) The error characteristic of the calibration system is analyzed theoretically and the precision ofthe standard centrifuge force is obtained. The precision is derived under the considering of theaffecting factors of the errors of mass, rotating radius, running speed of the motor and other influence. It is shown from the theoretical analysis and test that the dynamic calibration system for thesix-component force sensor developed in the thesis has very high precision and can be used in theengineering.
