IGBT power electronics in the field of the key components in the industry’s position as a self-evident, IGBT drive and protection has become an important direction of development of power electronics technology. With the deepening of technology research, more and more come IGBT drive, drive and protection circuit is also discrete components from the original mainly constituted by the chip, integrated transition, but now the market focused on mainstream popular driver chip or drive there are still many defects, can not meet the demand, limiting the large voltage, high current, high frequency power electronics devices. Therefore, the study and protection of high-power IGBT driver has important significance.This paper studies the protection against high-power IGBT driver, due to the IGBT is applied to high frequency applications, mainly in the IGBT turn-off voltage, the protection program is mainly to suppress overvoltage shutdown. Several of the original by saber simulation program, found its shortcomings, and provides a new drive-based solutions for the original overvoltage protection circuit overvoltage protection scheme. The purpose of this paper is to provide a new control method to optimize the performance of IGBT turn-off. Because when the IGBT turn-off will be very high, the circuit stray inductance produces overpressure. This paper describes in detail the production costs of this volume, and thus simplify the dynamic rise of the overvoltage protection circuit voltage control circuit that by suppressing the rising slope of the voltage can be well controlled shutdown overvoltage. Verification of the program by saber simulation software feasibility and reasonable set the parameters to optimize the simulation waveform. Based on its structural principle and simulation, an experimental program designed to build up an effective experimental platform, in the course of the experiment continue to change and optimize the circuit structure, through experiments verify the feasibility of the dynamic rise in voltage control scheme.
