Full bridge rectifier is a common circuit which is often used in low voltage field.The common full bridge rectifier circuit which is composed by four diodes has simple construction and low-cost.Because of this,it is extensively used in the electric system.But in the high power consumption field,the diode must have a high breakdown voltage.At this point,the drop voltage of the diode will be increase.The diode in the full bridge rectifier will cause high dissipation.Then,the efficiency of the full bridge rectifier will be greatly decreased.Due to this reason,the using of this kind of full bridge rectifier is limited.We design a totally new full bridge rectifier circuit,using the power MOSFET to replace the four diodes in the full bridge rectifier circuit.This kind of power MOSFET has a high breakdown voltage between its drain and source.In the meantime,it has a lower turn-on resistance.The power MOSFET can work as the diode by controlling its gate voltage.In the high power consumption field,the new full bridge rectifier circuit has a lower voltage drop on the power MOSFET compared with the full bridge rectifier composed by the diode,and its power consumption is far less than the diode's power consumption in the full bridge rectifier.By this kind of method,the efficiency of the full bridge rectifier is significantly increased.This paper is focused on how to design a driver chip to control the power MOSFET's on-off state.So that it can work as the full bridge rectifier.Through the design of the test circuit of this chip,we introduce how the diver chip controls the full bridge rectifier circuit.After that,we introduce the module in this chip.First,a power supply module is integrated in this chip which is used to turn the 220 V voltage into 15 V voltage.Through this module,the chip can have a stable power source.In the second place,through the introduce of the high-voltage zero crossing detection module,we can turn the sinusoidal signal with 220 V voltage into square signal with 15 V voltage which is used by the gate driver.Last,the gate driver module is used to magnify the drive signal and export 1A electric current to drive the power MOSFET.Finally,we use the software made by Cadence to draw the circuit diagrams.By using the CSMC's 600 V BCD process and Hspice software,we simulate the designed circuit and verify the rationality and accuracy of the design.
