Design And Implementation Of The University Cooperation Relations Management System Based On RoR Framework

Based on internship experience of the author in university relations team, Tencent Technology Ltd, universities’ basic information management, stakeholder relationship management, university-enterprise cooperation PR content management, project management and other aspects of work are significant requirement of the promotion of information science and technology innovation, trai ning the Internet’s top talents, and the Internet industry healthy ecology. Around this requirement, we can design a management system, which serves the university relations team, internal and external partners, focused on university cooperation related co ntent management(CMS), universities and customer relation management(CRM), university-enterprise cooperation projects process management(PM) and other aspects of work, meanwhile providing a convenient mobile working entrance based on Wechat public platform and Enterprise platform, which can easily fulfill contacts query and project tracking requirement.This paper shows a detail analysis of the user requirements of universities cooperation management system, decides to use the B/S architecture to design and develop the system, based on a simple and efficient framework, Ruby on Rails, and with Bootstrap, j Query, SASS, Coffee Script, SLIM and other front-end technologies to improve the user experience, reduce development costs. The development of the whole system is based on Linux, using MySQL5 database as data persistence layer, front page and back-end data transfer format includes form information and JSON.The project can be divided into five parts: content management subsystem, customer relationship management subsystem, project process management subsystem, the Wechat public platform and enterprise platform applications and system management module. Content management subsystem supports articles publication, activities publication and statistics, themati c page customization. Customer relationship management subsystem is responsible for maintaining the information of institutions, departments, contacts and related events. Project process management subsystem is responsible for maintaining the project’s bas ic information, stakeholders’ information, milestones and tasks definition and reminders. Public account provides a news reading, activities application entrance of mobile phones. Enterprise account provides customer information searching, projects tracking entrance for internal users. System management module provides a logging, user access monitoring and other basic support.The entire system has been tested on function and performance, which indicates that the system can support the management of news, e vents, customer relations, projects, tasks in the process of universities cooperation, meet the initial requirement. Meanwhile in the performance test, the entire system meets the requirements and can run stably.
