The Research Of Chronic Disease Management Information System Based On WHO PEN Intervention

Background: With the rapided development of social economy, people’s concept has also undergone significant changes, chronic non communicable diseases have become the main threat to human health. WHO proposed The WHO PEN(The Package of Essential Noncommunicable Disease Interventions for Primary Health Care in Low-Resource Settings) is a major chronic disease intervention control service tool, at present, the project launched in Ningxia Qingtongxia City Xiakou town and 5 villages,but in the operation of the project process,the project organization lacks a set of interaction, sharing information system, in order to ensure the efficiency of the implementation and results, improve theaccuracy and timeliness of information transmission. Meaning: In the WHO PEN project operation process,in order to make the project organization a comprehensive understanding of the project in chronic disease prevention and control of real-time information, in order to meet the project organization for chronic disease intervention and control status of information requirements, It needs to develop a complete set of chronic disease management information system based on the WHO PEN intervention, ensure that information related to chronic diseases of the people in project area can timely upload, share, project staff can control the project according to the information content of scientific operation, in order to achieve the purpose of prevention and control of chronic diseases morbidity trend. Methods: the research chooses WHO PEN intervention of chronic disease management organization system as piont, using qualitative research method, including the literature review method, participant observation, key informant interview, group discussion method to collect information, using the application of descriptive analysis methods to analyze the project demand status and implementation project of system, thissystem analysis of business and functional requirements; in the process of system model design, paradigm MDA application system, it could generated Computation-Independent, Platform-Independent Model, Platform-Specific Model by UML with MDA design model. Results: This research based on the WHO PEN Ningxia Qingtongxia chronic disease intervention project implementation, and analysis and design the WHO PEN intervention in chronic disease management information system, finally complete the implementation of the system, and it can realize to control the project area residents health and chronic disease intervention, analysis of information of the autonomous region, city and county, township and other relevant organizations at all levels to provide information for management of chronic illness, query each project village, chronic diseases related information of each people. Through the design of the system, the research hopes to provide effective reference to informatization construction of rural grass-roots health services in the category of primary health care for our country rural health management information system design.
