Research On Museum Educational Activities Administration

Museum is one of the important social education institution for the public to get lifelong education,all kinds of its business activities are conducted on the purpose of "education".Educational activities are the main way of museum to practice its educational mission.With the evolution of museum functions and construction of Chinese cultural service system,how to improve education activities management becomes an important topic that should be solved by museums in China.This paper mainly adopts literature analysis, case study and comparative analysismethods to analysis museum education activities administration.Systematically comb the basics of museum education activity management,including organization system, allocation and integration of resources,program planning and implementation, evaluation and improvement, etc. Point out that there are problems such as administrative subordinate restrictions, lack of professional staff, funding shortages, activity restricted, short of innovation. Take China Museum for Fujian-Taiwan Kinship as a case and analyze its dilemma and factors that may encounter in the practical operation. Then, make an overview on the status of internationally renowned museums, such as the Smithsonian Institution in the United States, the British Museum in the UK and China’s Taiwan region of Taiwan History Museum in Taiwan.Conclude their specific experiences. Base on theories and practices, the paper suggests to build professional education working group, widely organize resources, allocate resources sustainably, strengthen the audience research and attaches importance to the evaluation, give full play to the resouce advantages, which can promote the professionalization of the museum education activities administration.
