In recent years, thanks to the support from the central government, the secondary vocational education has made a rapid development in China, with many vocational schools developing and the number of the students increasing enormously. Despite of the progress made so far, the informational application remains backward concerning the school management, especially in the school administration, where paper or software are still the main means of documentation, which, obviously will not meet the current development of the secondary vocational education. So, according to the rating standard for the secondary vocational education, and in view of the requirements from the administration in vocational schools, the development of an informational managing system which can be applied to vocational school is an urgent job for us. Now the author has succeeded in the development of a managing system applied to the No.1 vocational school, Kunshan, which was checked and accepted in June, 2009.Based on the software developing concept, the system, taking the Net as a platform, is developed by means of successfully combining the development of language and tool together. We combined B/S and C/S in our system. The B/S module takes an important part in a lot of areas, such as enrollment, students'performance, certificating, etc, with its user-friendly operation and flexible functions, while the C/S module is mainly used for graduating management, curriculum scheduling and so on, in view of its high efficiency of transaction processing and the limitation on user operation.What deserves to be mentioned here is that this system, based on practical use, flexibly implements query composition and fuzzy query in enrollment management, and the import and export of their data meets the specifications mentioned above; the sub-system for students'grade adopts relational database modified for grading, which, combined with relevant data coding, has improved the efficiency of data storage and enquiry to a great extent; various algorithms of curriculum arrangement has been researched and analyzed in the subsystem, combining manual intervention and simulated annealing together to schedule curriculum; besides, data mining is also proposed to improve the curriculum scheduling, in the hope of a more practical and reasonable curriculum schedule system.In brief, the system developed by the author meets the requirements made in the project plan, and has been applied to practical use in educational management in vocational school, and is expected to be popularized in other vocational schools.
