Study On The Library Scientists Li Xiaoyuan

This paper restore Li Xiaoyuan’status in the history of library science and accurate assessment of his historical contribution,at the same time,added the real situation of the academic libraries in China in the early days of the Republic of China,through research the life experience and contribution of the famous library scientists, educators Li Xiaoyuan. This paper mainly studies the Li Xiaoyuan’library theoretical research、bibliography research、library building research、the type of research libraries、indexing study、library academic activities,library academic activities including the founder of "Library Quarterly" 、hosted "Journal of Jinling " 、the founder of the Department of Library Science, organized librarians qualifying examination, drafting "University Library Trial Regulations." Concluded that Li Xiaoyuan is contributed to the history of the library science,especially in some advanced ideas, such as the library legislation, librarian qualification certification, etc., up to now is still not get a good solution, it is worth our current library scientists learning,to the better libraries and library science.
