Research On Bibliographic Value Of "Guyue Collection Building Bibliography"

Bibliography is very important for the study of books,mainly reflecting academic changes and the nature,survival and authenticity of books.The bibliography has the important value of “View academic works from a dialectical perspective and thoroughly examine their ins and outs” in the development of bibliography in China.The article analyzes Xu Shulan's own situation and the political,economic,ideological and cultural background of The Bibliography of Guyue Library,and conducts a comprehensive and systematic historical fact analysis and value research on the inheritance and development of traditional catalogology.The Bibliography of Guyue Library is the first catalog in the modern history of my country about library collections,setting a precedent for the catalog of modern libraries in my country.It has a great contribution to breaking the traditional four-part classification method and exploring a new book classification system,especially the unified description and classification of classical and new learning.And dealing with the classification of ancient and modern books by such libraries.It was a breakthrough decision.In ancient times,the study of bibliography was basically provided to officials and scholars for academic research,not for ordinary people.The classification theory and ideas in The Bibliography of Guyue Library have begun to develop in the direction of practical.The Bibliography of Guyue Library has made contributions in seeking to reveal the latest scientific content and library cataloging methods,to systematically reflect the modern science system and “new learning”.So that the traditional Chinese academic system has begun to take the pace of transformation to the modern science system.Opened the way for the Western idealist taxonomy introduced in China,the compilation and promotion of the decimal book taxonomy.This article provides a more comprehensive and systematic introduction to The Bibliography of Guyue Library.Including the life of the author Xu Shulan and his book collection ideas,as well as the situation of the ancient Yueshu library in the collection hall.From the perspective of bibliography,the historical documentation method,historical data verification method and comparative analysis method are used to study The Bibliography of Guyue Library,including the following four aspects.The first is a comprehensive introduction to the author of the bibliography and the collection of listed books.The second is a general description of the book'scompletion and the content of the book.The third is to summarize the category setting of The Bibliography of Guyue Library and the inheritance with the traditional book classification.Than,the comparison with The General Catalogue of Sikuquanshu and Bibliography of Western Studies,which reflects the inheritance and innovation in category setting and classification ideas,as well as the analysis and research on the literature description and characteristics in The Bibliography of Guyue Library.Finally,through studying the influence of the academic value and cultural value of this bibliography on the academic culture of later generations.
