Along with the production and sales of automobiles increasing year by year, the consumption of oil also increases year by year. The attendant environmental problems and the prominent energy crisis increase rapidly. To improve the fuel economy and reduce the emission of the engine has become a important subject. The in-depth study of the fuel spray characteristics has an important significance on engine fuel economy and emission quality.In order to get the data such as the mean diameter, the cumulative volume distribution of the droplet, the direct photographic method has been used to obtain the spray field in this experiment. Process the images based on the MATLAB, to obtain useful image of the droplet, and design the interface of GUI, to make the process more simple and intuitive.In order to reduce the workload of manual processing, and reduce the subjective difference caused by manual operation, the design of the software adopts automatic analysis and processing, more rigorous design program has been used to screen the effective particle, can effectively eliminate the interference of design program. In order to try and do not rule out the useful information, the fuzzy images were analyzed by image restoration to get accurate images. In order to improve the tolerance of software, so that the software can handle the image more extreme, the method can deal with different image quality to get the process is needed. At last, the effective particle were selected for statistical analysis, the droplet size distribution is obtained.
