In recent years, the total number of civil car is increasing year by year, vehicle emissionspollution have increased, and international crude oil prices hit record highs, also created asignificant obstacle to the development of China and international automotive industry.Energy-saving and environmental protection has become a national automotive industry focus.Fuel atomization quality directly affecting engine, dynamic, harmful emissions and noiselevels, in order to achieve the desired law of injection and combustion quality, it is necessaryto spray quality factors detailed in-depth study.Acquisition instant of pure diesel spray droplet images in hand-pressure spray benchusing high-resolution digital camera, artificial statistics obtained an average particle diameterof droplets in the image, characteristic diameter, divergence, and the size distribution, etc; inaddition, constant volume bomb testing laboratory bench to the use of high-speed camera andschlieren method macro ether/diesel blend fuels(D20) spray angle and penetration distanceshooting, manual analysis, statistics the spray process and spray characteristics of trends.Continue to improve and optimize the image enhancement in the MATLAB imageprocessing functions, morphological operations, threshold segmentation, edge detectionalgorithm. Through the comparative analysis on spray droplets that image by the median filterbased on bayesian statistical classification algorithm from various parameters and artificialdroplets statistical results fitting better; on spray oil bunch of binary image the Cannyoperator on edge detection for the calculation of oil after the characteristic parameters andartificial results conform. Based on MATLAB/GUI designed spray image processing system,wait until after the confirmation of algorithm.Use of the system to process different from the spray pressure of pure diesel spraydroplets image. Experiments show that the greater the pressure, the number of small diameterdroplets is more, the better the quality of atomization; use of system measurement andanalysis of different nozzle diameter, the environment, back pressure,D20fuel spray angleand penetration distance found that the greater the nozzle diameter spray cone angle thegreater; the bigger of the environment back pressure the greater of spray cone angle,throughout the smaller of distance;. These results are consistent with artificial statistics, thusproving the feasibility of the software and its algorithms.
