With the rapid development of automobile industry, automobile manufactures begin to carry on exploration and exploitation of energy conservation and environmental protection. Fuel spray directly affect the power, economy, noxious emissions and noise level. So spray quality evaluation is too vitally important. In order to achieve the perfect law of injection and burning quality, it is necessary to deeply study for the influencing factors of spray.This paper using hand pressure injection pumps and HR digital camera, nozzle equipment et, adopt direct shot method to real-time shoot the spray of diesel oil; Use Photoshop software to count the droplet size of the spray; drawing the droplet size numeral distribution figure, droplet number of PDF figure, droplet number of accumulated figure, above draw graphics get the conclusion:the proportion of the middle diameter droplet is larger, while the number of the small and large droplet is less; The size numeral distribution of peak is first increases, then decreases trend and direction to the small particles droplets peak offset.Due to a number of particles spray image in about 5,500, reinforcing the artificially to spray particle diameter measurements, often need a spray image was divided into dozens of a small image among many individuals to deal with, but even this will need to spend a week's time. This paper from save manpower and time into consideration, use of MATLAB image processing toolbox, design the spray image processing software based on MATLAB GUI.This paper using image processing software to comparative analysis the pure diesel spray image particle statistics and particle diameter measurements and comparative analysis with artificially statistics, using image processing software to 0.26mm,0.315mm single-arch nozzle (Spray stress with 16Mpa, dimethyl ether for mixing with to 20%) to compare analysis with artificial. From the comparison and analysis of the results can be seen software statistics and artificially statistics data fitting that good, spray image processing software has some use value.
